Maya Angelou is quoted as saying, “When we give cheerfully and accept gratefully, everyone is blessed.”  I’d like to think that we at Toa have both given cheerfully and accepted gratefully in 2018, and that this simple saying can serve as the note we go out on this year: blessed.

Having entered the month of November, this year’s Giving Tuesday month (GT will fall on the 27th), I wanted to remind all the friends of The Project and readers of this blog that The Toa Nafasi Project is on the brink of a massive expansion in 2019 and we still need your support.

We launched our 5x5x5x5 challenge in September with the goal for this Giving Tuesday, November 27th, of raising $25,000 to reach students in 5 additional schools in 5 additional wards in the Kilimanjaro Region of Tanzania in 5 months.  That’s 5x5x5x5—5 schools, 5 districts, 5 months, $5,000 per month.

We now remind you once again to please give cheerfully and help us with our cause.  Accept our thanks gratefully and follow the progress we are making with public primary schoolchildren with learning difficulties and formerly disadvantaged women trained as their tutors in Tanzania, East Africa.  And, as always, be blessed.
