Americans reading this will recognize this phrase from the Emergency Broadcast System, established to provide the President of the United States with an expeditious method of communicating with the American public in the event of war, threat of war, or grave national crisis.

Clearly, we are currently in the midst of such a crisis, though it’s not just the United States but the entire world.

In Tanzania, schools have recently been closed and Toa operations on the ground halted for the foreseeable future.  We have high hopes that we will be able to recover once it is safe.  Our staff has been given clear and accurate information as to how to protect themselves, what to do in the event they fall sick, and above all, they know that Toa will support them through this emergency.

I hope all our readers out there are taking the same actions and feeling support from their employers, friends and families, and communities at large.  While you’re home, have a look below at some photos from Tanzania taken just before schools closed of our tutors testing the new Standard One students.  The assessments have not yet been completed, but are well underway.  We hope to resume in due course.
