Friday Funday at Kaloleni Primary School on April 23rd, 2021 was a great success!  Check out the report below!!

“There were different games conducted at Kaloleni Primary School on Friday Funday, April 23rd.  Students played different outdoor sports which involved all Standard One students led by Madam Haika Motta and Madam Leah Mboya, two tutors with The Toa Nafasi Project.  The sport and games started at 10am and lasted until at 12pm at noon.

The children began by doing different physical exercises such as stretching their arms and legs, jumping, dancing, and singing.

After that, they competed in running, and the competition was the boys versus the girls.  Each student had to run holding a stick, which was fun and at the end, the boys won the game.

Also, the children competed in running while having the end of a spoon in their mouths and on the tip of the spoon, there was a piece of stone.  The child who dropped the stone while running was the loser of the game, and in this case, the winner of the game was a boy.

Madam Haika and Madam Leah recommend that sport and games should be included in school because they allow students to be thinkers, innovators, and problem-solvers through playing with one another.”
